Most of our customers start with one board and scale to a few hundred or a few thousand. The process, documentation and test coverage stay consistent as volume grows.
Build stages we support
| Stage | Quantity | Typical lead time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Prototype | 1 - 20 units | 3-8 working days | Design validation, demos, early firmware |
| Pilot | 20 - 200 units | 8-12 working days | Field trials, certification samples |
| Low-volume production | 200 - 5,000 units | 10-15 working days | Market launch, bridge production |
Why there is no minimum
Prototype economics are dominated by setup, not by board count. We panelize small orders to share tooling where possible, keep stencils and programming files on file for repeat builds, and quote the next run without repeating the engineering effort. That makes a 5-board order practical and a 500-board follow-up predictable.
- Free DFM and DFA reviewEvery prototype order includes an engineering check before release.
- Panelization optimizationSmall boards are grouped to reduce material and handling cost.
- Repeat-build files retainedStencils, programs and process notes are kept for future orders.
- Test plan that scalesStart with AOI and e-test; add ICT or FCT when volume justifies fixtures.
Frequently asked questions
Do you charge a setup fee for prototypes?
Tooling and stencil costs are quoted as one-time charges where applicable. There is no separate minimum-order penalty.
Can I move from prototype to production with the same supplier?
Yes. Keeping the same fabrication and assembly process avoids a second qualification cycle.
Do you keep my stencil and programming files?
Yes, unless you ask us not to. Repeat orders can start production without re-tooling.
